In addition to life or critical illness cover, there is the option to include Integrated Income Cover which pays out a monthly income if the life insured can’t perform their own occupation due to illness or injury. The maximum monthly income amount is normally linked to the amount of life cover or critical illness cover. Any earlier claim on critical illness may reduce the amount of income cover available.
